Responsibilities:
The Health and Safety Manager can lead by example in both a technical and project construction and Health and Safety management role within all aspects of safety, training, equality, production, construction and progress. The Health and Safety Manager can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Safety, Health and Environmental procedures.
Day to day activities of the Health and Safety Manager:
Liaising with Principal Contractors, Contractors and SubContractors on all aspects of a SHEQ platform
Accident and incident reporting along with providing various process mitigations
Site/Company Audits and inspections as well as operative competency review and up-skilling
Work with multi disciplines, clients, sub-contractors and multinational workforce
Maintain all accreditations within the organisation such as CHAS, SMAS, Builders Profile, Constructionline, Scaffolding Association, IQS, Safe Contractor
About the candidate:
The Health & Safety Manager should possess Nebosh in Construction and be a Grad IOSH Member
Possess high level of ‘hands on’ supervisory and people management skills
Process and personnel coordination, supervision, mentoring and training skills
Health & Safety Manager should have demonstrated experience in completing paperwork to the desired level including Task Plans, Risk Assessments and ITP
Ability to understand, interpret, apply, and implement guidelines, policies and procedures – manage current IMS system and ensure compliance in all three standards of IOS 9001, 18001, 45001
Ability to perceive difficulties and implement appropriate measures
Excellent communication skills
