Position: Health & Safety Manager
Working Style: Hybrid (after probationary period)
Hours: 9 am - 5 pm (Mon-Fri) with flexibility
Salary: Circa £50,000 pa

Health and Safety Manager role
As the Health & Safety Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, visitors and contractor across two main sites. From devising and implementing robust H&S processes to conducting training sessions and maintaining accurate records, you'll be at the forefront of safety compliance. As the Health and Safety Manager you will be working closely with the management and facilities teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Create, amend and communicate the company's H&S policies, ensuring staff awareness and adherence.
Take overall responsibility for H&S compliance across the sites and acting as the Fire Officer.
Collaborate with leadership team to establish safe working practices and processes.
Conduct H&S training programs and maintain training records.
Oversee risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
Stay updated with legislation change, attend courses and implement relevant updates.
Work closely with the internal stakeholders including the operations and maintenance team.
Liaise with external Health and Safety experts and compliance organisations
Involved in the recruitment process, appraisals and some team management What are we looking for:

You will be qualified to NEBOSH standard with previous experience in similar Health and Safety Manager role or looking to take that next step into management.
Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or retail environment would be desirable
The ability in set standards, work with the business and offer a consultative, pragmatic approach to Health and Safety.
