Are you an experienced Health and Safety leader looking to shape strategy across a major UK infrastructure business?
We've partnered with a leading infrastructure provider to recruit a Health and Safety Director. The organisation constructs and manages a large nationwide estate, and this role will lead the company-wide Health and Safety strategy, working closely with the Board and senior leadership team.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Director will include:
Leading the Health and Safety strategy, governance and assurance framework across the business.
Advising the Board and senior leadership team on key risks, legal duties and performance.
Overseeing Health and Safety risk across a large infrastructure estate, including work at height, electrical safety and contractor activities.
Leading and developing the Health and Safety team while driving improvements in safety culture and supply chain performance. The successful Health and Safety Director will have:
Significant senior Health and Safety leadership experience within infrastructure, construction, utilities or a similar multi-site environment.
Experience advising Board-level stakeholders and managing complex operational risks.
A strong understanding of UK Health and Safety legislation and ISO 45001.
