We have partnered with a family-owned manufacturing company, who are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Coordinator at their interesting site in Bristol. This role presents an ideal opportunity for individuals aspiring to embark on a career in safety, as well as those possessing 1-2 years of HSE experience seeking a new challenge on a truly unique site. Additionally, this role would be ideal for candidates with a background in operational roles within the manufacturing sector who are eager to transition into a full-time Health and Safety position.
The Health and Safety Coordinator Coordinator needs to be someone who has a can-do attitude and is keen on building relationships at all levels. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our employees by implementing and maintaining effective health and safety programs. You will work closely with various departments to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong organisational skills and a passion for promoting a culture of safety.
The Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for:
Support and guide on various site Health and Safety matters
Document control
Manage and review risk assessments (PUWER, COSHH & LOLER)
Build relationships with key stakeholders across the site, promoting the development of a positive culture and best practice
Conducting inspections, investigations, and maintaining accurate records
The Health and Safety Coordinator Candidate will have:
Nebosh General or working towards
Experience of working within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment
Previous EHS experience is advantageous
Communication skills, Drive, personality and resilience are key to this role
IT Literate is very important
