Health and Safety Advisor
London based
Contract: Fixed-term until June 2028
Salary: Up to £56,920 + benefits

Irwin and Colton are pleased to be supporting one of the UKs most well-known hospitality venues in the search for a Health and Safety Advisor, joining a busy Health, Safety and Wellbeing function and supporting the implementation, monitoring and continual improvement of the organisation's health and safety management system. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive health and safety professional to work within a large, complex and fast-paced environment, partnering with stakeholders to embed best practice and drive positive safety culture.

The Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will be:

Provide competent health and safety (and fire safety, where competent/trained) advice to support legal compliance and internal standards
Build strong working relationships with departmental heads, technical specialists and colleagues, coaching on risk assessment, controls and record keeping
Support the development and review of standards, guidance, risk assessments and safe systems of work
Help coordinate health and safety communications/briefings to promote engagement and a positive safety culture
Assist with performance monitoring, including KPIs, inspections, audits, reviews and action tracking
Support delivery of health and safety campaigns/initiatives and contribute to local meetings and reportingThe Requirements of the Health and Safety Advisor are:

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is necessary
Evidence of maintaining CPD to support professional IOSH / IIRSM membership (essential)
Experience working with health and safety management systems within a large, diverse organisation; ideally arts/event/entertainment venues
Strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation, with the ability to apply it pragmatically
Confidence engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels; strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving capability
