Principal People are exclusively supporting a National Manufacturing organisation to help recruit for a Health and Safety Advisor to join the growing team.

The business invest into and develop the Health and Safety Department through extra qualifications and career paths available internally.

You will be working in an operational role where you will be helping change the attitudes towards safety and develop a positive safety culture throughout the large location. You will be part of a wider Health and Safety Team and will be working closely with a supportive Health and Safety Manager.

The role will be incredibly varied due to the complexity of the environment which will help you develop your career as you will be exposed to various, dangerous risks.

Health and Safety Advisor – Manufacturing – Up to £48,000 + Package - Hexham

We would love to see CVs from people who have:

NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma Level Preferred).
Experience within an operational Health and Safety Environment (Manufacturing, Logistics, Distribution preferred).
Previous Health and Safety Experience.
UK Drivers Licence.
As the Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for:

Investigating accidents and investigations and working on a solution to reduce the risk of these reoccurring.
Working with the site operational team to implement a proactive strategy for Health and Safety.
Being proactive and reactive regarding Health and Safety requirements throughout the locations.
Working closely with the senior leadership team within the business who are open to development and change.
Creating policies and procedures for the site in order to make continuous improvements.
Provide professional health and safety technical support and advice to the business; developing and delivering the strategic business objectives to drive success through learning and development, leadership and Health and Safety strategies.
