The Role: We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Year Manager to join our client school in Glossop. As a key member of the pastoral team, you will play a pivotal role in providing support, guidance, and leadership to students within a specific year group. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of young people and contribute to their overall wellbeing and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Acting as the primary point of contact for students, parents, and staff within the designated year group
Providing pastoral support and guidance to students, including monitoring attendance, behaviour, and academic progress
Implementing strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement
Liaising with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to address individual student needs and concerns
Organising and facilitating year group events, assemblies, and enrichment activities to promote a sense of belonging and community
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student welfare, progress, and interventionsRequirements:

Previous experience in a pastoral or student support role within a school setting is essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers
Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and work effectively under pressure
A genuine passion for supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of young people
Resilience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
Relevant qualifications or training in pastoral care, youth work, or a related field (desirable)Details:
