Head of Repairs & Maintenance

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Haringey Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Head of Repairs & Maintenance this role will be: N22 8LE

The right candidate will:

* Manage the overall responsibility for Responsive Repairs, Voids, Disrepair, Complex Repairs, Damp and Mould and Depot management along with transformation of the repairs service including all related budgetary expenditure.

* Operational Management of Responsive repair and maintenance team responsible for all aspects of delivery of repairs including the management of the direct labour organisation, damp and mould, complex repairs, customer relations and multiple contractors.

* Providing a reliable, customer focused and cost-effective repairs service to the councils hours portfolio.

* Responsible for service wide and area-based initiatives that support continues improvement in the quality, cost and effectiveness across the repairs service to support delivery of the outcomes in the borough plan.

We require the following:

* Experience of programming and managing complex repair work

* A track record in delivering a repairs service

* HNC/Degree or above qualification in building, construction surveying or related subject and or membership of a recognised professional body or equivalent.
