The Company
 
Our client is a Refurbishment and fit out specialist, rapidly growing Contractor. They are looking for a Head of Quality Assurance to join the team and help the company grow with them.

Main Responsibilities:

Tendering

Assist with the preparation of project specific tender documentation as and when required.
Support the regular review and update of quality related content that is regularly utilised within tenders.
Assist on selected tenders during the tender process attending meetings, if required. Pre-Construction

Undertake an initial site visit to ensure the following are undertaken.
Ensure the project operational site lead is suitably completing the project “Start Up Checklist” and as such supporting a well-planned & coordinated project.
Report back to the Board as to Divisional Directors completion of Pre-Project Launches.
Support the project team in the development of “Project Execution Plans” and other quality focused key project strategic documents / plans. Ensure suitably completed.
Support the project team in the development of a project specific inspection and testing regime in liaison with the Project Manager and TSM.
Ensure QA is producing the project SnagR systems, for each project, in a timely manner.
Support the project team’s input to the Plexus risk register defining risks and opportunities. Construction

Carry out regular site inspections in line with the inspection programme, using Nexus.
Ensure other discipline specialist inspections are completed such as Commercial / Document Control / Temporary Works.
Provide QA/QC & Systems specialist project team support, allowing them to quickly address areas of weakness and achieve consistently better quality standards.
Assist with the provision of performance feedback for each Sub-Contractor relating to site delivery matters.   
Handover

Ensure the project operational site lead is suitably completing the “Handover Checklist” and managing the Handover period.
Support the production of project Finalisation Plans.
Monitor the close out and completion of the works on site to Collins usual high standards.
Support the completion and handover of all documentation at practical completion.
Ensure we have a satisfied Client and professional team.
Support the archiving of project records Aftercare

Support the defects liability period and ensure defects are completed in a timely manner.
Assist with the provision of performance feedback for each Sub-Contractor relating to site delivery matters.
Support project review and lessons learned post project handover.   
Health & Safety & Environment

Work with the HS&E team to ensure successful visits by our certificating body in relation to ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 certification.
Work symbiotically with HS&E team, to ensure suitable best practice across all SHEQ disciplines.
Work closely with HS&E to support deployment of effective assurance systems and as result an effective Health, Safety and Environmental management systems. General Company Duties

Update and agree with the SHEQ Director & Board, the quality policy on an annual basis.
Establish and deploy quality related performance measures and provide feedback to the Board via internal reporting.
Develop and deploy best in sector digital management systems in liaison with the IT team, providing guidance support and training during roll out.
Produce and maintain guidance documents, related to our systems approach.
Establish a suite of quality related training sessions and ensure roll out based on a central business training matrix.
Champion lessons learned and continual improvement practices during project delivery including internal project completion reviews, and supporting client experience questionnaire surveys, including management performance dashboards.
Work closely with the “Big Rocks Action Team” to support the development and deployment of Board agreed business improvement initiatives.
Work with the Board and our R&D Consultant, to capture and agree R&D opportunities annually.
Champion “Four Principles“, in the wider business, alongside other senior team members.
Ensure the ongoing development and use of SnagR.
Undertake trend analysis of SnagR defects raised across projects.
Provide Quality related technical bulletins to the business.
Ensure management reviews are completed in support of the business discharge of ISO9001 requirements.
Support the Senior Document Controller in the review and update of company administration / document control procedures.
Maintain supply chain related compliance records on Plexus, including SSIP and Insurance.
Champion reporting and future use of contractors, agreed with the Board, based on contractor’s project performance reviews.
Ensure the new Sub-Contractor approval process is managed.
Champion the development and update of business job descriptions.
Ensure training matrix / training records are maintained via Coins.
Liaise with the relevant governing bodies and ensure continued compliance and retention of our HSEQ certification.
Implement a defined program of inspections, monitoring and audits on an annual basis.
Manage the tracking and successful closure of raised NCR’s.
Undertake trend analysis of NCR’s and ensure presentation in quality related internal reporting and management review.
Ensure project governance checks undertaken by Board Directors are completed to ensure projects are progressing in a compliant fashion.
Champion quality related behaviours and as such a culture of quality within the business.
Champion quality related reward and recognition.
Champion visiting manager / leadership tours.
Bring management failings or potential SHEQ breaches to the attention of the SHEQ Director and the Board.
