Description:
We are seeking a highly efficient and motivated Head of Operations to join a well established Manufacturing business that supply innovative products into the Agricultural, Chemical and Water Processing industries, based in Peterborough. As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with various departments to optimise processes and streamline operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in implementing improvements and efficiencies, contributing to the overall success and growth of the business.
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE)
Benefits: £6,000 car allowance, 24 days holiday + Statutory, company profit related bonus, free lunch 2 x a week, Pension
Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise all aspects of daily operations across, Production, Logistics, Order Fulfilment
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
* Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
* Lead and motivate a team of employees to ensure high productivity and efficiency
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency enhancements
* Oversee inventory management and logistics to optimise supply chain operations
Requirements
* Proven experience in operations management at a senior level within a manufacturing environment
* Good financial literacy, with strong understanding of cost centres and budget management
* Strong leadership and management skills
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a customer orientated mindset
* Proven experience of implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives & Lean methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma etc)
* Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operations management software
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to be able to develop strong working relationships at all levels
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
