Role Overview:
As the Head of Music, you will lead a vibrant music department, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence. You will design and deliver engaging music curriculum, lead ensembles and choirs, and organize captivating performances and events. Working closely with students, staff, and the wider community, you will inspire a love for music and cultivate talent at every level.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with national standards and promotes musical literacy and appreciation.
Lead rehearsals, performances, and competitions, nurturing students' musical abilities and fostering a sense of achievement and pride.
Manage and mentor a team of music teachers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate music into cross-curricular projects and enhance the overall educational experience.
Forge strong partnerships with local music organizations, fostering opportunities for students to engage with the wider musical community.
Oversee the maintenance of music facilities, equipment, and resources, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Music or a related field.
Proven experience teaching music at the secondary level, with a track record of student achievement and progression.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff alike.
Excellent organizational and administrative abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
A passion for music education and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
