The Opportunity:
As Head of Management Accounting, you will be responsible for managing the finance team and ensuring all finance processes are carried out in line with Group guidelines.
Some of the key responsibilities for this successful individual would be but no limited to:
* You will oversee the smooth running of the finance team across five sites
* Develop and improve the preparation of high-quality financial information to support management decision-making
* You will show and demonstrate commercial awareness regarding the company’s products, customers, markets, and production processes
* Carry out the month-end closing processes
* Coordinate the preparation of the monthly result for the UK local Board
* Coordinate the preparation of monthly reporting for submission to the Group
* Reconcile the actual to budget EBITDA performance on a plant and country level and investigate variances
* Analyse and investigate the actual vs budget spend variances on a cost centre level
* Analyse contribution margins at a product and customer level
* Coordinate and prepare the quarterly rolling budgets
* Prepare the monthly and quarterly liquidity forecasts to be submitted to the Group Treasury department
* Effectively manage, motivate, and develop a team of Qualified accountants
* Identify training needs within the finance team
* Attend meetings when required, incl. trips to Europe
The Candidate:
The successful Head of Management Accounting will be/have:
* Be a Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA)
* Proven experience of working in a supervisory/managerial capacity position
* Relevant experience in the manufacturing sector is preferable or a related industry
* Attention to detail and accuracy are important
* Knowledge of SAP R/3 would be great, or Sage or equivalent is fine
* High standard of IT skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Knowledge of the German language would be an icing on the cake, but not essential.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

* Organised and efficient approach to tasks.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
