Head of IT Services, Head of Service Delivery c. 3-6 month contract

Immediate start required.

Hybrid (Greater Manchester, Lancashire base)

This role will suit a seasoned Contractor or Interim, delivery focused Head of IT Services or (technical) Service Delivery Manager – ideally someone with InfoSec or information security experience as part of their previous roles.

Reporting into the CIO, this ambitious and fast growing business is looking for a strong leader with proven experience of successfully partnering with, and managing 3rd party suppliers (including MSP and IT security functions) to optimise efficiencies and deliver successfully to the business.

There are a number of projects on the roadmap, so lots of exciting items on the agenda technically….. many are focused around change and transformation but initially the priority will be ensuring a robust and well structured infrastructure.

Prior experience of supplier management is essential, and a key objective for this role is building strategic relationships with existing and new vendors to ensure that the business operates and develops their systems and infrastructure using the right technologies in a cost effective way.

There will be security based projects also, so a sound technical understanding of IT security and good grasp of cloud technologies is important (MS/ Azure tech stack)

The existing IT team is global, so also required is experience and understanding of operating within a global capacity.

Key to the success of this leadership role is someone who has proven experience of advancing the maturity of an IT function and associated systems.

Also this role has responsibility for growth, so recruitment will be part of this leadership role too.

Prior experience in similar contract roles and positive delivery mindset will allow the successful candidate to hit the ground running.

Experience of being a self starter and making suggestions based on experience in similar roles is also important to add value to this delivery focused role.

The right person will be able to come in add significant value, and is offered autonomy in order to do so.

You will be:

-A senior leader with a background in leading infrastructure and systems teams in a high availability environment

-Capable of delivering best in glass IT services to a global end user base

-Experienced In managing cloud based Azure platforms and systems which must be fast, reliable, secure and compliant

-An accomplished manager of 3rd parties ensuring vendors appreciate the technology impact to business stakeholders

-Experienced in implementing infosec best practice ideally gained within an ISO 27001 environment

-A strong communicator to technical and non-technical peers and colleagues across the business at a range of levels

-Ideally ITIL accredited

Immediate start- North West, Greater Manchester/ Lancashire based. Hybrid working

The successful candidate will need to be North West based ideally, as the role requires on site work for approximately two or three days a week.

Day rate to be confirmed - Outside IR35. Interviews available this week and candidates must be available for an immediate start.
