Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Head of Investment to work with one of our Local Authority clients in South London.
What the job will be doing
* Develop and continuously improve the service as a centre of excellence in proactively managing the portfolio to meet the objectives of the Council
* Manage and lead a group of professionals to deliver an effective service to the Council.
* Provide leadership, direction and advice in dealing with significant and often sensitive negotiations.
* Develop, embed and champion strategic plans for investment in housing estates, asset management and major works to achieve the Council’s vision for a Fairer Future.
What you will need
* Qualified to a recognised Housing or Construction degree or have membership of a Chartered Housing or Building professional body
* An in-depth and practical understanding of existing and pending legislation (partially relevant to Health and Safety, Building Safety Bill and Fire Safety Act 2021), issues and financial challenges facing local government and specifically issues relating to the service area.
* An extensive track record of building project and programme management along with a minimum contract responsibility exceeding £25m per annum.
