The Role: The Head of Financial Planning is a pivotal and newly created role, reporting to the business Founders (MD and Head of Growth) of First Wealth, an award winning and ambitious Chartered Financial Planning firm based in Marylebone, London W1. The successful Head of Financial Planning will be responsible for evaluating and directing the firm’s financial planning service to improve the productivity and profitability of the financial planning team. You will lead and develop the team of Financial Planners, ensuring they are consistently delivering exceptional client outcomes as measured by breadth and quality of advice and adherence to regulatory responsibilities. Your strategic influence will ensure the best utilisation of technology and people to deliver an exemplary Client experience, from initial contact to advice delivery. You will also play a pivotal role in the business growth strategy, nurturing key professional introducer relationships, instrumental to the on-going success and growth of the business.

Salary and Benefits: Basic salary of £(phone number removed) (dependant on experience) + an exceptional benefits package including 8% pension, profit share, income protection benefit, 5 x salary death in service, up to 30 days holiday (increasing with length of service, plus the option to buy/sell holiday) + 8 days bank holiday + well-being benefit + option for paid sabbatical after 5 years’ service etc.

The Person: The successful Head of Financial Planning with be an exceptional Financial Planner (Chartered or similar), a motivational and pragmatic leader and a charismatic networker and relationship builder. Like the rest of the senior leadership team, you will be entrepreneurial and energised and will have the ambition and confidence to challenge the status quo of the advice profession and to deliver First Wealth’s purpose and vision.

Head of Financial Planning (Financial Planner, Financial Adviser, Financial Advisor), Key Accountabilities:

* Set standards to ensure the delivery of the company’s values, vision and purpose.

* Work to improve financial planning productivity, profitability and compliance, setting the standards in sales and financial planning capability.

* Lead and develop the team of Financial Planners, including conducting weekly meetings and monthly 1-2-1’s (managing delivery of productivity, profitability and compliance), mentoring, coaching and talent development, overseeing an engaging and insightful CPD programme (including FCA requirements) etc.

* Oversee financial planning resourcing and recruitment needs, ensuring the Financial Planning team has the capability to deliver the required level of revenue growth.

* Ensure all clients receive a high-quality experience that clearly conveys value, making sure that the service delivery is both consistent and scalable.

* Help develop business growth strategy and engage in networking, PR and business development activities, maximising client referrals and engagement, overseeing professional introducer relationships and the adviser engagement with these companies.

Head of Financial Planning (Financial Planner, Financial Adviser, Financial Advisor), Skills and Experience:

* A Diploma qualified and Chartered / Certified Financial Planner

* Highly competent in all areas of financial planning including cashflow modelling and working with complex, HNW clients.

* An inspirational leader with experience of managing, motivating and developing a team.

* A confident and charismatic networker and relationship builder, comfortable undertaking PR activity to support delivery of business strategy, with a track record of success in business development and growth.

* The ability to plan, prioritise and deliver projects to timescale and budget.

* Entrepreneurial, energised and ambitious. Embracing of technology and change, driven to find productivity and profitability improvements across the business and having the ability to communicate and manage change at all levels.
