An ambitious and forward-thinking secondary school in East London is seeking to appoint an experienced and inspirational Head of Engineering to lead a successful Design Technology department from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong practitioner with a specialism in Engineering who is ready to take the next step in leadership, or an established Head of Department looking for a new challenge within a supportive and aspirational school environment.
The successful candidate will:
• Have strong experience teaching Engineering and Design Technology across KS3–KS5
• Demonstrate successful middle leadership experience within a secondary school setting
• Be confident leading curriculum development, assessment and departmental improvement
• Have the ability to drive excellent outcomes and raise student achievement
• Be passionate about technical and vocational education
• Inspire students through engaging, practical and industry-relevant teaching
