You’ll lead ecommerce teams across two sites, with responsibility for growing online sales, improving profitability and making sure both businesses get the most out of their websites, digital marketing and marketplace channels.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll need to be comfortable looking at the bigger picture while staying close to the day-to-day trading activity. You’ll work closely with the Trading Director and teams across buying, merchandising, marketing and operations to identify opportunities, improve performance and deliver commercial results.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead ecommerce strategy across both businesses, driving sales, margin and profitability.
* Identify growth opportunities across customer experience, product ranges, new channels and marketplaces.
* Use performance data and customer insight to improve results.
Commercial Trading
* Own ecommerce P&L, budgets and trading performance.
* Monitor sales, conversion, average order value, margins and marketing ROI.
* Lead trading reviews and work with buying and merchandising on pricing, stock, product ranges and promotions.
Digital Marketing and Website Performance
* Oversee SEO, PPC, paid social, email, CRM and affiliate marketing, ensuring budgets deliver a strong return.
* Improve website usability, customer journeys and conversion rates.
* Work with technical teams and external agencies on improvements that support growth.
Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management
* Lead and develop ecommerce teams across both businesses, setting clear objectives and encouraging collaboration.
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across buying, merchandising, marketing, finance, logistics and retail operations.
* Manage relationships with agencies, technology providers and marketplace partners.
* Travel regularly to London to support the team and maintain strong working relationships across both locations.
What We're Looking For
* At least five years' experience in a senior ecommerce role, ideally within multichannel retail.
* A proven track record of growing online sales and improving profitability.
* Experience managing ecommerce P&L, budgets and trading performance.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into commercial decisions.
* Knowledge of ecommerce platforms such as Magento/Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus or similar.
* Understanding of SEO, PPC, paid social, email marketing and conversion rate optimisation.
* Experience leading and developing teams, ideally across multiple locations.
* The ability to manage different brands, customer groups and commercial priorities.
* A hands-on approach, with strong decision-making, communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Flexibility to travel between locations.
What's on Offer?
* Salary of up to £75,000.
* The opportunity to shape ecommerce strategy and make a direct commercial impact across two businesses.
* Ongoing training and development opportunities.
* Company pension scheme
