I am working closely with my LPA client based in Devon as they seek an interim Head of Development Management on an initial 6-month contract.
 
In this role, your management responsibilities will be:
- Development Management
- Planning Enforcement
- Design and Heritage
- Landscape, Conservation, Biodiversity and Arboriculture specialists
 
You will be accountable for these areas and their performance, delivery, improvement, management and review.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience working at  DM manager level or extensive experience managing a service within a local authority planning department.
 
The council's preference is to have someone in the office 2-3 days per week. However, they are realistic about what the expectations may be for candidate's living further away and can be flexible/negotiable for those with the right experience at further distance.
