Here at Prinicpal Education we are lookng for a Head of Computer Science to start at one of growing Academys in Enfield for Spetmeber 2024. 

About the School:

This secoadary school is a growing Muti Acadmey trust that has been open for 2 years and is growing, this school has another school located in Finchley which has been given a OfSTED rating of " Outstanding". The school is about to go thorugh it first batch of GCSE student which is very excititng time for the school. 

Key responsibilty: 

Curriculum Development: Designing, reviewing, and updating the computer science curriculum to ensure it aligns with educational standards, integrates relevant technologies and programming languages, and meets the needs of students.
Instructional Leadership: Providing guidance and support to computer science teachers, including mentoring, professional development opportunities, and instructional resources to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Administrative Duties: Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling classes, managing budgets, ordering equipment and supplies, and coordinating with other departments or school administrators.
Student Support: Advising students on course selection, academic progress, and career pathways related to computer science, as well as providing academic and personal support as needed.
Assessment and Evaluation: Developing assessment strategies to measure student learning outcomes, analyzing data to inform instructional decisions, and ensuring that assessment practices are fair and aligned with curriculum goals.
Technology Integration: Promoting the integration of technology across the curriculum, collaborating with teachers to incorporate digital tools and resources effectively into teaching and learning activities.
Collaboration and Outreach: Collaborating with colleagues, parents, industry professionals, and community organizations to enhance computer science education opportunities, organize events, and foster partnerships that support student learning and career development.
Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in computer science education, instructional methodologies, and educational technologies.
Policy Development: Participating in the development and implementation of school policies related to academic standards, student behavior, safety protocols, and technology usage within the computer science department.
Advocacy: Advocating for the importance of computer science education within the school community, advocating for resources and support to maintain and expand the computer science program, and raising awareness of the value of computer science skills in the broader society.
You must have: 

Qulifed teacher with QTS 
Expeirenced teaching ( Previous HOD experenice is prefered ) 
Strong track record of GCSE results 
DBS ( Valid or on update service )
