Head of Business Development

Location: Andover Job Type: Permanent Salary: £40k - £50k (Additional bonus of £18k based on 10m per month opportunity handovers.

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an award winning, design and market focused company as the Head of Business Development. You’ll play a crucial role in driving growth and expanding the business. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to manage and identify new opportunities, through lead generation and marketing. You will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships and enhance revenue streams.

Responsibilities of the Head of Business Development:

Business Development

* Management: You manage, lead and motivate an international team of 6 Business Development Executives ensuring their output and targets are met.

* Relationship Building: You will cultivate strong relationships with long term prospects and build a meaningful pipeline.

* Sales Pipeline Management: Be willing to carry out telemarketing calls creating new opportunities whilst managing a CRM. You will vet opportunities and ensure good quality leads are generated for the business.

* Revenue Growth: You will drive revenue growth through effective business development initiatives.

* Onboarding: You will recruit, and on-board additional team members as required by the business.

Marketing

* Marketing Strategy: You will provide direction and strategy to the marketing department, optimising the outbound marketing and website to achieve the best results for the business.

* Social media & Website: You will assist and provide content for the companies’ social media, mail shots, news and website.

* Marketing Campaigns: Set up, run and work on regular focused marketing campaigns and work on regular focused client newsletters.

* Marketing Events: Assist with management, planning and working on events and trade shows when required.

Detailed Responsibilities & Accountabilities

* Client facing meetings, video calls and events

* Travel internationally to attend events when required.

CRM Management

* Assist project consultants (sales team) in managing and updating CRM for all opportunities.

* Ensure all correct contacts and associated clients are updated on CRM.

* Sales pipeline management – ensure pipelines are up to date for weekly sales meetings.

Administration and Secretarial

* Assist sales team to organise, plan and prepare presentations, designs and quotes.

* Work with estimators to prepare and type quotes as required by Sales Consultants.

* Attend and assist facilitating weekly sales meetings.

Qualifications

* Above average IT skills with advanced grasp of Microsoft office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom & Teams. Experience with all main Social Media channels

* Skilled in all forms of communication – email, WhatsApp, Skype, Zoom, MS Teams, FB Messaging, LinkedIn Messaging etc.

* Experience with CRM (CRM used is Salesforce)

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
