Are you passionate about cultivating beautiful landscapes and enhancing green spaces? Do you have an outstanding knowledge of plant care and landscaping techniques? If so, we have the role for you!
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Gardener to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be paramount to Ballymore, taking the lead on the management of our landscape ensuring that the gardens and specific areas are kept to a high standard, always captivating beauty and excellence.
Advanced horticultural training and experience of managing landscaping and gardens is vital, enabling you to educate and work alongside the residential estates team so they are equipped to understand the requirements of the estates landscape.
Within role you will have the opportunity to propose new ideas that will enhance the vision and aesthetic of our landscaping and green spaces.
Duties and responsibilities include:
* Conducting regular inspections across the portfolio to identify and address any issues related to plant health, pest infestation, or landscaping structures
* Ensure the day-to-day horticultural tasks (weeding, pruning, trimming) are being completed to a high standard.
* Manage larger planting programmes and ensure maintenance and management of the gardens and park are being carried out to the correct standard to enhance the aesthetic appeal.
* Provide weekly feedback to the management company highlighting actions undertaken, issues anticipated and future programme of works, noting any need for new and replacement planting of maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in gardening or landscaping.
* A good knowledge of plant care, landscaping techniques, and management.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic outdoor environment.
* Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards of presentation.
* Experience in working with third party contractors.
* Level 2 or above RHS horticultural qualification and/or equivalent experience as a Head Gardener
