Head Chef – Boutique Country Hotel

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + approximately £3,000 tronc

Are you an experienced Head Chef looking for an exciting opportunity in a beautiful countryside setting? As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the kitchen operation, creating and delivering an exciting food offering for hotel guests, events and dining experiences.

You'll have the opportunity to work closely with the executive chef to create new menus, work with quality seasonal ingredients and lead a small, dedicated kitchen team.

Responsibilities of the Head Chef:

Take overall responsibility for the kitchen and food operation

Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team

Maintain consistently high standards of food quality and presentation

Manage food ordering, stock control and kitchen budgets

Ensure excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards

Work closely with the hotel management team to deliver an exceptional guest experience

Manage kitchen rotas and staffing levels

About you:

Proven experience leading and developing a kitchen team

Passionate about creating high-quality, seasonal dishes

Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures

Excellent understanding of GP, stock control and kitchen costings

Hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Head Chef role within restaurants and hotels
