Castle Employment are working with a trusted partner to support them in recruiting a Head Chef for their independent 20 bed hotel, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step up into a strong, busy fresh food kitchen with the support of a hands-on fantastic GM and passionate business owner.

The ideal candidate for this role would have previous hotel experience in a Head Chef position and be comfortable working in a fast-paced busy environment using fresh food. Experience with small events, menu development, costings, food safety compliance and staff management are essential. There is no accommodation available for the position so having access to transport is ideal.

Role:

Overall management and responsibility of the kitchen and the team
Full development of the food menu for the bar/restaurant/events
Contribute to the overall development of the hotel business by input of ideas.
Orders all dry stock for the kitchen.
Completes weekly staff rotas in accordance with forecasted business.
Management of all financial goals of the kitchen
Ensure all staff training is completed.
Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH Requirements
Ensure good communication throughout the kitchen department.
Liaises with FOH staff to ensure an efficient food service delivery to the guests and all hotel clients.Requirements:

Knowledge of management Food Safety, Health & Safety and COSHH
Previous and relative experience in a hotel at Head Chef level
Proven knowledge of menu development
Relevant Catering Qualifications including NVQ & Food Safety
