Handyman Required - Peterborough
Location: PE1 1NT, Peterborough
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 1 year
Working Hours: 7:30am- 4:00pm (8.5 hours paid)
Pay Rate: £24.00 - £25.00 per hour
Duties & Responsibilities
We are currently looking for an experienced Handyman to join a busy construction site in Peterborough. The successful candidate will be required to assist with finishing and general site duties, including:
Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and minor construction work on residential and commercial properties.
Assist skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and builders, with daily construction tasks.
Perform basic carpentry, plastering, painting, decorating, and tiling.
Repair doors, windows, locks, fixtures, fittings, and other building components.
Carry out minor plumbing repairs, including fixing leaking taps and replacing basic fittings.
Prepare surfaces, fill cracks, sand walls, and apply paint and other finishes.
Assemble, install, and repair furniture, shelving, and other fixtures.
Requirements
Valid CSCS Card.
Full 5-point PPE.
Own hand and power tools suitable for the work.
Previous experience carrying out general handyman or finishing works on construction sites.
Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team.
Reliable, punctual and available to start ASAP.
