Handyman / Maintenance Operative
Location: Dunstable
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm (40 hours per week)
A busy plastic manufacturing company based in Dunstable are looking for a reliable, practical Handyman / Maintenance Operative to join our team.
This is a varied, hands-on role that supports the day-to-day upkeep of our production facility and office areas. They're looking for someone who is proactive, takes pride in their work, and is happy to turn their hand to a range of maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general handyman and maintenance duties.
* Painting and basic decorating.
* Use power and hand tools safely and effectively.
* Perform minor repairs and maintenance in the production area and offices.
* Assemble, install, and repair fixtures and equipment as required.
* Keep work areas safe, tidy, and well maintained.
* Support general cleaning duties, including cleaning office areas, kitchens, and toilets.
* Report maintenance issues that require specialist attention.
What They're Looking For;
* Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance, or facilities role is preferred.
* Confident using power tools and carrying out basic repairs.
* Practical, reliable, and able to work independently.
* Good attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.
* Willingness to carry out both maintenance and cleaning duties as part of the role.
* Awareness of health and safety practices.
