Our client, a thriving student accommodation provider, is searching for a proactive and reliable Temporary Handyman to support their on-site team with day‑to‑day repairs and general maintenance.
What you’ll be doing:
Carrying out a range of reactive maintenance tasks to a high standard, including basic plumbing, joinery, carpentry, and occasional painting/decorating.
Moving furniture and handling heavier items across the site as needed.
Maintaining lighting, completing statutory checks, and ensuring safe, functional spaces.
Responding effectively to health & safety issues.
Keeping maintenance reports updated using electronic systems.
Monitoring stock levels and notifying management when materials, tools, or equipment need replenishing.
What we’re looking for:
Hands‑on experience within residential repairs/maintenance or a background in trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.
Handyman/Caretaker/Maintenance/Trade experience
Someone equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
A strong awareness of health & safety standards.
A positive, can‑do attitude with good initiative.
Friendly, helpful, and professional at all times.
