Description:
PRS is looking for experienced Handyman / Porter operatives to support our prestigious clients across commercial buildings and facilities. The successful candidate will provide essential porterage, event support and general building maintenance assistance, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out porterage duties across the building.
Move furniture, equipment and supplies for events and day-to-day operations.
Set up, rearrange and reset rooms for meetings and events.
Support housekeeping activities and maintain clean, safe and presentable areas.
Assist with rigging and installing external banners and signage.
Support the Building Fabric team with basic maintenance, repairs and general handyman tasks.
Assist with stock movement, deliveries, storage and inventory tasks.
Carry out basic equipment checks and report faults or defects promptly.
Support maintenance teams with planned and reactive maintenance activities when required.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and building users.
Use basic Microsoft Office applications for routine administrative and reporting tasks.Requirements:
Previous experience in a Handyman, Porter, Facilities Assistant or similar role.
Practical experience of working within commercial buildings or facilities environments.
Good understanding of general building maintenance and basic repairs.
Ability to safely move furniture, equipment and supplies.
Good manual handling awareness.
Reliable, hardworking and professional approach.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
Basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
