They are committed to ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, and reliability. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and experienced GRP Repairer to join their dynamic team.
Job Description:
As a GRP Repairer you will play a crucial role in the marine sector, repair, and cut various components of fiber glass. Your responsibilities will include:
Inspecting and Assessing Damage
Evaluate the extent of damage to fiberglass structures on boats and marine vessels.
Conduct thorough inspections to determine the scope of repairs required.
Surface Preparation:
Clean and prepare surfaces for repair, ensuring all damaged or weakened materials are removed.
Sanding, grinding, and other preparatory tasks to ensure proper adhesion of repair materials.
Fiberglass Repair:
Apply fiberglass matting, resin, and other materials to damaged areas.
Use various techniques to mold and shape fiberglass to match original contours.
Ensure repairs are structurally sound and aesthetically aligned with the original design.
Sand and polish repaired areas to achieve a smooth finish.
Apply gel coats and paint to match the original appearance of the vessel.
Ensure repaired areas are watertight and resistant to marine conditions.
Requirement:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Experience with cutting fibre glass components
RIGHT TO WORK in UK
Previous experience as a GRP Repairer in the marine industry.
Strong knowledge in finishing/repairing grp components
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
