GRP Laminator required immediately on a temporary to permanent basis - Location CV2
Hourly rate dependant upon experience.
Hours of work - 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday , 1pm finish on Fridays.
Working in a small team you will work on a range of products including showers, baths and automotive components. You will understand lay up drawings and use your laminating skills to carry out the required workload.
A thorough understanding of GRP laminating and associated processes including those mentioned below will be required for this role.
Duties will Preparing fibreglass sheets or moulds to create components and products. This includes cutting and trimming fibreglass materials to size, mixing resin and hardeners, applying these substances to fibreglass sheets. Using rollers, brushes to remove air pockets and ensure smooth, even coat on moulds or parts.
You will move around the production area carrying out the following
Preparing moulds for gel
Reading and understanding lay up specifications
Applying gel coat
Perform a range of laminating processes which may include wet lay and spray lamination
Use of hand tools
Identify laminate defects
Use of core materials and bonding pastes
Use and control of pattern jigs
