Isaac James Associates is delighted to be working with a well-established Group who continues to enjoy impressive and profitable growth each year. This large Group has operations spread across the entire UK and has its Head Office in West Yorkshire.
The role
Managing a large team of people, the Group Payroll Manager will ensure an effective and accurate system is in place. With a weekly payroll run in excess of £1,000,000 across a large number of Group Entities, this is a complex and fast-moving environment.
You will implement the controls and procedures to avoid inherent audit risks, ensure the system accurately captures starters, leavers and processes holiday pay.
You will also liaise with their party payroll companies where appropriate, ensuring their controls and procedures are in line with Group objectives, and you will take action to replace these external partners when minimum standards aren’t met.
The Person
This is a fast moving and rapidly growing group, and as such leadership skills are absolutely vital. You will manage a team of payroll staff, effectively manage the relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and deliver concise and accurate monthly reporting to the Group Board.
Previous experience of managing a team / function is crucial, and you will have experience of driving through a program of change in a busy and live environment.
IT, Communications and Leadership skills are a key ingredient to success in this role.
