The Wernick Group, a renowned independent manufacturer and supplier of Modular and Site Accommodation permanent and temporary Buildings, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Group Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor. This role is crucial to supporting our ongoing growth and business activities across the UK.

Location: Ideally Winchester but can be South of England

The role is covering South England with the furthest location being Head Office in Wickford, Essex.

About The Role

Main Responsibilities:

Health & Safety Visits: Conduct health & safety visits, inspections, and audits at Wernick Group premises and construction sites in the South of the UK
Compliance Advice: Provide advice and assist businesses to ensure operations are fully compliant with statutory obligations, policies, and procedures.
Internal Training: Deliver internal health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) training.
H&S Management System: Assist in the development of the Wernick Group H&S Management System and related documentation for use by group businesses.
Accreditations and Registrations: Aid in progressing PQQs, accreditations, and registrations.
Project Assistance: Support projects related to health, safety, environmental, and technical matters.
Incident Investigation: Assist in accident and incident investigations.

Person Specification:

Experience: On-site experience within the construction industry at trade or technical level, and in a health & safety position.
Qualifications:

Trade or technical qualifications.
Minimum NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
CITB Site Safety Management Training Scheme Certificate.
Relevant CSCS card.
Additional formal health, safety, or environmental training or auditing qualifications would be advantageous.
Skills:

Good communication skills.
Self-motivated and ambitious.
Strong administrative and report writing skills.
High standard of IT literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Full driving licence.
Willingness to take ownership of workload and a drive to learn and develop.
