The Opportunity

As the Group Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), you will be responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for Dechra. You will play a pivotal role in providing strategic insights, driving financial performance, and supporting decision-making processes at both operational and strategic levels.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial analysis, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

As Group Head of FP&A the role holder will have the gravitas to work with the Divisional Finance Directors to provide analysis and decision support to Senior Executive Team members and other key stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

Lead the development and implementation of financial planning and analysis processes, policies, and procedures across Dechra.
Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational targets.
Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to senior management, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) tracking.
Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and benchmarks, identifying areas of concern or opportunity and recommending corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Global FP&A function, leveraging technology and automation to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Lead and develop a small high-performing Group FP&A team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to maximise their potential.
Partner with other finance functions, including Accounting, Treasury, and Tax, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsible for own personal health & safety.

Comfortable communicating in any medium and to any size audience in an inspiring, articulate and credible way
Self-starter with energy to, and ability to, work to tight deadlines
Displays high level of accuracy, diligence and integrity
Able to form relationships with wide range of people and strong team player with collaboration skills on an international level
Progressive experience in financial planning and analysis roles, preferably in a multinational corporation or a complex organisational environment
Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices in FP&A function
Strong business acumen and the ability to understand the broader strategic context of financial decisions
Candidates should possess a blend of financial expertise, leadership abilities, and strategic vision to excel in this position.
Willing to travel globally and domestically as required.
Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
