Group Financial Accountant

Description:

NLB Solutions are working with a large business in Watford to help them find an individual to work in the Financial Accounting team. The role is very hands on in preparing reconciliations, treasury, cash reporting, VAT returns, CAPEX work and more. There will be a large degree of intercompany work and relationship building across the senior management and external stake holders.

The role is looking at 1 day from home and 4 in the office that is modern and recently refurbished. There is a team of 4 others in the team that have been there for many years and therefore offer a large amount of support for the new individual.

Duties:

* Responsibility for producing and maintaining financial reporting reconciliations; ensuring these are reviewed monthly and that records are evidenced to support financial statement audits.

* Involvement in the VAT and CIS preparation and submission process across the Group.

* Involvement in Capex and Project reporting.

* Ensure financial records are kept up to date across the Group companies.

* Liaise with the wider finance team to understand Group processes and take responsibility for specific processes as required.

* Involvement with our treasury and cash reporting.

* Build meaningful relationships with all key stakeholders, including fellow finance team members, tax advisors and HMRC.

* Keep abreast of UK accounting and taxation legislation enabling the group to remain fully compliant in respective areas.

* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, effectively present ideas and turn them into practical actions. Including involvement in developing our internal data reporting tool, identifying areas where use of the tool could be enhanced.

Person Spec:

* Experience of operating in a similar role.

* Part or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

* Excellent communication skill

* Excel and IT skills
