Group Finance Manager

Description:

As Group Finance Manager, you will have a real passion for delivering high quality accounting and financial reporting. You will support the delivery of internal and external reporting, with a focus on the successful completion of audit and statutory accounts sign-off.

This role will also focus on enhancing governance and control within accounting processes to minimise risk, improve efficiency and drive business performance.

Some of the responsibilities for this successful individual would be but not limited to:

* Manage and develop a team of fourteen finance professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and training as needed

* Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting professional growth and development within the finance team

* Responsible for leading external audits and acting as the first point of contact throughout the process

* Responsible for ensuring that management accounting and statutory reporting deadlines are adhered to

* Managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems to support ISO accreditations.

* Support the development and improvement of policies, processes and financial controls, ensuring they are well designed and operate effectively.

* Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practice in the Record to Report process area.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive financial

* accountability throughout the organisation

* Ensure team objectives and desired performance levels are achieved

* Handling VAT, PAYE and Tax duties, including corporation tax.

The Candidate:

The successful Group Finance Manager will be/have:

* Be a Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)

* Be a proven Finance Manager position or equivalent level position

* Great if you have Contact Centre or exposure to working in a sales driven environment, however this is not essential as leadership experience is just as important

* Be comfortable invigorating and managing a multi-functional finance team

* Experience overseeing an end-to-end annual audit process.

* Experience in the production of the annual statement of accounts.

* Sound knowledge of company taxation principles.

* Leadership of finance projects delivering efficiency savings and ensuring projects are delivered to timelines and cost.

* Structured and organised, demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities.

* Able to build strong working relationships and influence people.

* Proven experience of delivering to tight monthly reporting deadlines

* Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes

* Self-starter with a willingness and enthusiasm for pro-actively identifying issues and ability to follow through projects & activities with minimal supervision.

* Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
