Morgan McKinley finance is working with a leading c£600 million turnover business, backed by private equity and renowned for its acquisitive nature, to fill the Group Finance Manager position based in Northamptonshire. Our client is seeking a dynamic individual, a true doer and go-getter, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong technical expertise in finance.
As the Group Finance Manager, your primary focus will be coordinating the financial month-end close process for the Group, ensuring it aligns with reporting deadlines and upholds meticulous standards in journal postings and related tasks.
As you lead a team of 9 with 3 direct reports, your guidance will be instrumental in fostering their growth and efficiency. Spearheading initiatives to expedite the month-end procedures and enhance reporting outputs will be central to your mission, driving towards greater efficiency and accuracy. Moreover, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the finance controls landscape by identifying and implementing automation systems and processes, while also staying attuned to changes in accounting standards to maintain compliance.
Being the main link between the company and external auditors, you'll ensure seamless collaboration for timely completion of statutory accounts, along with thorough review and consolidation processes.
The Group Finance Manager will take ownership of all transactions and accounts, reviewing and analysing them (including debits and credits) to ensure accuracy and compliance. Additionally, you will be deeply involved in cash flow modelling and balance sheet management, providing crucial insights for strategic decision-making. You will also proactively work on fortifying internal controls, addressing any gaps to mitigate risks effectively.
