Description:
As the Environmental Health & Safety Officer, you will work closely with the Group Environmental Health & Safety Manager to ensure that the organization complies with relevant environmental health and safety regulations and promotes a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors and visitors.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Assist in the development and implementation of environmental health and safety policies and procedures
* Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans
* Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and make recommendations for corrective actions
* Deliver environmental health and safety training programs
* Monitor and review environmental health and safety performance metrics
* Keep up to date with relevant environmental health and safety legislation and industry best practices
* Provide support to the Group Environmental Health & Safety Manager and other stakeholders as required
The Person:
* NEBOSH General Certificate
* Experience in an environmental, health & safety role
* In-depth knowledge of environmental, health & safety regulations and legislation
* Analytical skills
* Excellent IT skills including MS office
