The ideal candidate will be fully proficient with all aspects of bookkeeping and will have excellent interpersonal and team player skills. You will be a self-starter, efficient, and highly experienced in working in an office, ideally in a manufacturing environment, although those from other sectors will be considered.
You will work on multiple company ledgers and be part of a central team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
* Creating Purchase orders
* Matching Invoices to purchase orders and related sales orders.
* Accurate processing of VAT, if applicable, on all purchase invoices and quarterly VAT returns
* Acting as a point of call for queries, internal and external, related to purchase ledger.
* Reconciling statements received from vendors with company records and chasing up any discrepancies.
* Preparing weekly payment runs (BACS, manual payments)
* Processing company credit card expenditure
* Supporting with month end routines and reporting.
* Ensuring purchase invoices are recharged to customers.
* Bank statement reconciliation
* Weekly cashflow updates –
* Chasing customers via telephone, letter and e-mail weekly
* Payroll
* Other Ad Hoc Analysis as required
Your Experience, Skills & Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills
* Previous experience working with accounting software such as Sage, Xero or Quick books
* Computer literate with good knowledge of Excel Confident and friendly personality
* Self-assurance to proactively seek clarification when unsure
* Ability to work independently, flexibly, and can manage own priorities
* Attention to and eye for detail – with a logical approach to problem solving
* AAT Qualified or similar (desirable but not essential)
The Package
* Hybrid role with mix of office attendance and working from home working (2 days a week if desired)
* :35 Hours per week: 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday - with 1 hour lunch break
