Venture Contracts is seeking a skilled and experienced Groundworks Foreman with an SSSTS certification to join our client's project in Colchester. The project involves carriageway maintenance and repair work on a dual carriageway, requiring a professional with specific expertise and certifications. Rate is negotiable based on experience.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage groundworks activities on site, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
* Coordinate with the project team to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of tasks.
* Ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly adhered to, maintaining a safe working environment.
* Conduct daily briefings and inductions for the team.
* Supervise and guide the groundworks crew, providing support and resolving any on-site issues.
* Monitor project progress and report to the site manager.
Requirements:
* Valid SSSTS certification.
* Streetworks ticket is mandatory.
* Must have an Orange Hi-Vis for site work.
* Proven experience in groundworks, specifically in carriageway maintenance and repair.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
