Groundworker

Description:

Straight-line are currently looking to hire an experienced and reliable team of groundworkers for a major project based in the Leominster area.

We have immediate vacancies for:

1 x 360 Excavator Operator

1 x Dumper Operator

1 x Groundworker

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established project with approximately two years of work remaining. For the right team, this offers long-term, secure work with continuity on site rather than short-term contracts.

The Role

Duties will include:

360 Excavator Operator

* Operating the excavator safely and efficiently.

* Assisting with finishing works.

* Grading and levelling.

* Excavating for kerbs, edging and footpaths.

* Working closely with the groundworks team.

* Daily machine checks and ensuring the plant is maintained.

Dumper Operator

* Operating the dumper to transport materials safely around site.

* Supporting the groundworks team with the movement of aggregates, spoil and other materials.

* Carrying out daily machine inspections.

* Following all site health and safety procedures.

Groundworker

* Installing kerbing and edging.

* Finishing groundworks to specification.

* Laying foundations and preparing sub-bases.

* General drainage and external works where required.

* Working as part of a team to maintain programme deadlines.

* Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Requirements

* Relevant CPCS or NPORS tickets for plant operators.

* Previous experience in finishing groundworks is essential.

* Ability to work as part of a professional and reliable team.

Immediate start on Monday.

Approximately two years of continuous work remaining on the project.
