Joshua Robert is working with a well-established client that is working with quite a few local authorities and housing associations across the North East
Durham County Council is looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team temporarily, circa 1 year's worth of work.
Based out of Peterlee depot, County Durham.
The role of Grounds Maintenance/Gardener will include:
Clearing rubbish, weeds, brush and debris on a company’s grounds
Watering all flowers and plants on the grounds
Weeding, trimming, and mulching plants using gardening tools
Cleaning the company’s grounds by removing rubbish and litter daily
Ensuring the grounds are clean, safe and usable by guest and visitors
Removing dirt on sidewalks pavements and driveways
Taking on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary
The use of Petrol Garden machinery experience is advantageous
PA1 & PA6 - Pesticides Training again advantageous
This role will involve driving on company business.
To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving license.
Working week:
Monday to Friday - 7.30am till 4pm
30 mins unpaid lunch
40 hours per week
Must have :
Full, clean driving licence (at least 1 years experience)
Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general gardening duties
Some experience in understanding simple verbal instructions and undertaking duties as requested
Good understanding of written and spoken English
Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills
