Salary: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm

We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the team on a temporary-to-permanent basis, working on a mobile round covering schools across the Maidstone area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience who enjoys working outdoors and is looking for a long-term position.

The Role

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining school grounds to a high standard across a mobile route. Duties will include:

* Grass cutting and strimming

* Hedge and shrub maintenance

* Weeding and general grounds upkeep

* Litter picking and maintaining tidy outdoor areas

* Using grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively

* Carrying out general landscaping and horticultural duties as required

* Travelling between schools across the Maidstone area

* Working as part of a team while also managing tasks independently

* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard

Requirements

* Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or a similar role is preferred

* Full UK driving licence is essential

* Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

* Reliable, punctual and hardworking

* Good attention to detail

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

* A professional and positive attitude
