Description:
Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join Nottingham City Council's Cemetry Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming and general landscaping.
* Maintain cemetery grounds to a high standard of presentation, safety and cleanliness.
* Undertake litter picking and general site maintenance.
* Support grave digging and preparation activities when required.
* Assist with sexton duties and cemetery operations.
* Carry out memorial safety inspections and report any issues identified.
* Work alongside funeral directors, contractors and colleagues to support funeral and burial services.
Requirements:
* Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, parks maintenance or a similar outdoor role.
* Experience using grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters.
* The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
