Senior Gardener / Grounds & Landscaping Operative
West Surrey
£30,000 - £38,000 DOE
Are you an experienced gardener or landscaper who takes pride in creating and maintaining exceptional outdoor spaces? We are recruiting for a Senior Gardener / Grounds & Landscaping Operative to join a growing team working across a range of high-quality domestic gardens throughout Surrey and Sussex.
This is a varied, hands-on position that combines garden maintenance, soft landscaping and supporting wider landscaping projects. Working Monday to Friday with early starts and eight-hour days, this role offers the opportunity to join a professional team environment with ongoing training and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out gardening, grounds maintenance and soft landscaping duties to a consistently high standard.
* Lead and support day-to-day garden visits, ensuring work is completed efficiently and professionally.
* Build strong relationships with clients and understand the specific requirements of each site.
* Undertake planting, pruning, turfing and general garden maintenance, alongside occasional hard landscaping tasks.
* Support junior team members and maintain tools, machinery, vehicles and equipment in line with health and safety requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
* Has a minimum of four years' experience within gardening, grounds maintenance or landscaping.
* Possesses strong knowledge of plants, landscaping techniques and the safe use of tools and machinery.
* Demonstrates excellent organisation, communication and time management skills.
* Can work independently whilst contributing positively as part of a wider team.
* Holds a full UK driving licence.
In return, you will receive a salary of £30,000 to £38,000 depending on experience, Monday to Friday working with no weekends, uniform and PPE and the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and experienced team.
