Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and hazards to make them safe for work.
* Dig trenches and pits manually or using mechanical digging equipment.
* Lay foundations and ensure the ground is compacted and level.
* Install drainage systems, pipes, and cables.
* Operate and maintain tools and machinery such as compactors, concrete mixers, and drills.
* Mix, pour, and spread concrete for foundations, roads, and other structures.
* Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
* Work closely with other construction professionals such as engineers, surveyors, and site managers.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Groundworker in the construction industry.
* Knowledge of basic construction practices and techniques related to groundwork.
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
* CSCS card holder.
* Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
* Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
