Are you a highly motivated, ground worker looking for an exciting new challenge in a fast-paced role?
Due to expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time permanent ground worker to join the friendly team at Layn Developments.
Layn Developments offers a full spectrum of construction and maintenance services ranging from project works to routine and reactive maintenance. This is a varied role that covers sites at motorway services, concessions, shops, restaurants and garden centres.
The successful candidate will be a skilled individual with a proven track record and in return, Layn Developments offers a competitive salary, as well as weekend and out-of-hours bonuses.
Layn Developments (part of the Layn Group) based in Cambridgeshire is a national company. However for this role, the successful candidate will be based from their home address and will be asked to travel to sites. A company vehicle will be provided for this purpose and travel time will be paid for.
Description of role:
Perform manual labour tasks such as digging, trenching, and excavating
Installation of paving kerbing and fencing
Assist with the installation and maintenance of underground utilities
Assist with concrete work, including pouring and finishing
Experience in block and brick laying
Using a mobile phone to manage and record daily work.
Skills required:
A self-motivated, conscientious person with a ‘can do' attitude.
First class organisational and time management skills.
Be able to work under your own initiative and also as part of a larger team.
A well-presented professional who takes pride in every job they do.
Full UK driving licence (Company Van + Fuel card is provided for this role)
Happy to travel with the occasional stay away
