Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting technical analysis and modelling of electrical power systems.

Assisting with feasibility studies and early-stage infrastructure design.

Contributing to HV grid connection studies and network assessments.

Developing technical reports, calculations, and engineering deliverables.

Supporting the design and assessment of electrical infrastructure solutions.

Working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative low-carbon energy projects.

Helping clients understand the electrical requirements of renewable generation, energy storage, and decarbonisation strategies.

Is this role right for you?

You will ideally have:

An MEng (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems.

Strong fundamentals in Power Systems, Electrical Distribution Networks, and Electrical Infrastructure Design.

An understanding, through academic study or practical experience, of power systems and network studies.

An understanding of grid connection processes, grid capacity and network constraints, and working with DNOs and TSOs.

You will also bring:

An interest in the energy transition, renewable energy, electrification, and low-carbon infrastructure.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.

A desire to work towards Chartered Engineer status and professional membership, e.g. IET.

Don't meet every requirement?

We recognise that great candidates don't always tick every box. We're particularly interested in hearing from people with strong electrical engineering and power systems knowledge who may be looking to develop their experience in grid connections and energy consultancy.

We welcome applications from candidates working within:

Utilities and network operators

Distribution Network Operators (DNOs)

Renewable energy developers

Energy companies

Electrical design consultancies

Other power engineering environments

If you're passionate about the future of energy and have the right technical foundations, we'd love to hear from you.
