Location: Flexible (Hybrid Working Available)

Our client is an established and growing independent planning consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality planning advice across residential, commercial, rural, and mixed-use developments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Graduate Town Planner to join their friendly and experienced team.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work alongside experienced Chartered Town Planners, and develop the skills needed to build a successful career in planning.

The Role

As a Graduate Town Planner, you'll support the delivery of planning projects from inception through to determination, working closely with senior planners and clients across a diverse portfolio of developments.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
Undertaking planning policy and site research.
Preparing Planning Statements, Design & Access Statements, and supporting documentation.
Liaising with local authorities, consultees, and external stakeholders.
Supporting client meetings and project discussions.
Monitoring planning applications and providing updates to clients.
Keeping up to date with changes in planning legislation and policy.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

A degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related discipline accredited by the RTPI.
A genuine enthusiasm for the planning profession.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong research, analytical, and organisational abilities.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
A full UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
