We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Colchester, rated GOOD by Ofsted, that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant. This Colchester school is committed to providing high-quality education and ensuring every student has the support needed to succeed both academically and personally.

Job Overview:

This school caters for students aged 11-16.
Full-time, Monday - Friday, Learning Support Assistant role.
Support students in lessons on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
Help students develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
Provide additional support for students with SEND and varying learning needs.
Encourage student participation and engagement across the curriculum.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents where appropriate.
Contribute to creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.This Learning Support Assistant role in Colchester offers an excellent opportunity for a recent English graduate looking to gain hands-on experience within education. What we're looking for:

A degree in English or a related subject.
A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
Excellent communication, literacy, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A proactive, patient, and positive approach to learning support.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
