THE SCHOOL:
This is a successful, non-selective secondary school based in St Albans.
The Headteacher is a keen believer in investing in potential and has a strong track record of supporting graduates through teacher training programmes.
The school caters to students aged 11-18 and offers a supportive environment for graduates looking to begin their teaching careers.
THE IDEAL GRADUATE WILL:
Hold a degree of 2:2 or above / be graduating with a predicted 2:2 minimum
Be subject to reference checks covering the last 2 years
Hold a valid and up-to-date DBS
Be able to start in September 2026 on a full-time basis, Monday-Friday
THE ROLE:
Work throughout the school as and where required
Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis to help raise attainment
Work closely with the SENCO, supporting the development of learning plans for SEN pupils
Have opportunities to lead classes under the supervision of the class teacher
Demonstrate your potential and gain valuable classroom experience, with the school willing to support you towards teacher training
