Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Mainstream Secondary School, Lewisham
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Full-time, Long-term (until the end of the academic year)
Salary Range: £80.00 - £100.00 per day (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help.
Small Group Sessions: Lead small group activities and interventions to enhance students' learning experiences.
Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment by implementing the school's behaviour management policies.
Individualised Support: Work with students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they receive the necessary support and accommodations.
Assessment and Feedback: Assist in assessing student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties related to classroom preparation and organisation.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
Previous Child-Based Experience: Prior experience working with children or young adults is essential. This could include volunteering, tutoring, or other relevant roles.
DBS on the Update Service: You must possess an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or be willing to undergo one before starting the position.
Passion for Education: A genuine enthusiasm for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with both students and staff.
Team Player: A willingness to collaborate with colleagues and adapt to the needs of the school community.
